We are a freight audit provider and audit thousands of invoices and millions of shipments per month. In order to do this properly we take a close look at rate agreements and transport contracts between our customer and their carriers. We must clearly understand how the rates work and how they are being calculated. Seems easy but in fact it is harder than you may think.

Breda Center of Logistics Excellence

On april 8th, the Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs in the Netherlands announced Breda as the location for the new Institute of Logistics in the Netherlands. The city of Breda, as an emerging logistic focal point, beat Rotterdam and Amsterdam to be awarded the research program in which the Dutch government will initially invest €67 million.

Credit Crisis leads to better control on freight cost

The global financial crisis will lead to radical changes in the structure of the financial control in the supply chain, with 100% control from transportorder to payment on carriers invoices, according to a survey of multinational shippers by the market leader in freight invoice control, ControlPay in Breda and Kyiv.

ControlPay did an electronic anonymous survey on 115 respondents (comprised of multinational shippers and other mainstream corporate entities) to know the views of the supply chain and financial professionals of the multinational shippers on the impact of the latest phase of the credit crisis on the industry and its effect on corporate behaviour.
